Michael Sly Jr. is a Division I goalkeeper at Michigan State University and a trusted trainer at Michigan Soccer Training. With NCAA experience at both Oakland University and MSU, he brings top-tier playing knowledge, technical sharpness, and leadership to every training session.
Michael started his college career at Oakland University, where he quickly earned a starting role. In 2022, he was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team, led the conference in saves per match, and earned Defensive Player of the Week honors twice. He recorded five shutouts, including a standout clean sheet against Michigan. In 2023, he added three more shutouts and two defensive player of the weeks before transferring to Michigan State.
Now playing in the Big Ten, Michael continues to grow as a high-level athlete. At MST, he applies that experience directly to goalkeeper training, focusing on technique, decision-making, distribution, and composure. His sessions are energetic, focused, and built to help goalkeepers gain confidence and game-readiness.
