Rob Gjelaj is a collegiate goalkeeper with extensive playing experience at the NCAA level and a passion for developing the next generation of players. Originally from Romeo, Michigan, Rob has built a strong reputation as a high-level shot stopper known for his work ethic, leadership, and technical understanding of the goalkeeper position.
Rob played four seasons at Northwood University, where he appeared in 55 games and finished his career as the program’s all-time saves leader with 319 saves.
After his standout career at Northwood, Rob transferred to SIU Edwardsville (SIUE) where he became one of the top goalkeepers in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). During the 2024 season he earned OVC Goalkeeper of the Year, ranking among the national leaders in shutouts and save percentage while helping lead SIUE to a conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance.
Rob combines his collegiate playing experience with a detailed understanding of modern goalkeeper training. His sessions emphasize technical fundamentals, quick decision-making, and game-realistic situations that help players improve their confidence and performance during matches.
