Cancellations, Weather & Refunds

Cancellations:

No-Shows:

  • Sessions are non-refundable if you don’t show up or cancel late

Weather Delays:

  • You’ll be contacted if weather makes the session unsafe (lightning, heavy rain, etc.)

  • If you don’t hear from us, assume the session is still on

Refunds:

At Michigan Soccer Training, we strive to maintain a high standard of professionalism, safety, and development. These policies help ensure that every session and event is productive and enjoyable for both players and trainers.

  • Arrive Early:
    Arrive 10–15 minutes before your session starts. This allows time for warm-ups, equipment checks, and a smooth kickoff.

  • Be Prepared:
    Bring the following to every session:

    • Proper soccer cleats

    • Shin guards

    • Water bottle

    • Soccer ball (labeled if possible)

    • Weather-appropriate training gear

  • Check Your Email:
    All session or event details, updates, and trainer communications will be sent via email. Make sure to confirm your session time and location beforehand.

  • Expectations:
    ✅ Arrive on time
    ✅ Be coachable and attentive
    ✅ Put in maximum effort
    ✅ Respect your trainer and teammates
    ✅ Maintain a positive attitude

Creating & Managing Availability

Your availability is the foundation of your business on MST. If your calendar isn’t up-to-date, you won’t appear in search results and players won’t be able to book you. This section shows you how to set your hours properly and keep things running smoothly.

How to Set Your Calendar:

  1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Amelia > Employees.

  3. Select your profile and assign services, locations, and hours.

  4. You can set recurring weekly hours or specific one-time availabilities.

  5. MST recommends updating your calendar 2–4 weeks ahead at all times.

Tips:

  • Block off vacation or unavailable days ahead of time.

  • Use buffer time between sessions to avoid overlap or burnout.

  • Keep your availability consistent for recurring clients.

Session Types You Might Offer:

  • You’ll receive an email with all session details, including player info.

Session Management:

  • Mark sessions complete in your system (if required)

Hosting Events (Camps, Clinics, ID Sessions)

Who Can Host Events:

  • MST-affiliated trainers

  • Independent trainers recommended by MST

To Submit an Event:

  1. Fill out the Event Submission Form (include image, description, date/time, registration info).

  2. MST will publish and promote the event on the Training Events page.

  3. You must include clear registration and payment instructions.

  4. MST will display your event but is not responsible for registration, refunds, or attendance unless explicitly partnered.

Event Guidelines:

  • You are responsible for communication, safety, and compliance.

  • Only high-quality, professional events will be approved.

  • Must adhere to MST’s player protection and safety policies.

Expectations:

  • Respond to player inquiries promptly (ideally within 24 hours).

  • Notify clients immediately if a session needs to be canceled or rescheduled.

  • Keep communication professional, positive, and supportive.

  • Provide pre-training instructions or reminders

  • Send follow-up coaching points after sessions

Tools:

Session Payments:

  • MST processes payments and issues trainer payouts on a scheduled basis

  • W-9 Form (if operating in the U.S.)

How Often Are Payouts Issued?

  • Typically bi-weekly or monthly, based on MST’s accounting cycle

  • You will receive a breakdown of your sessions and revenue

Event Payments:

  • If your event is MST-hosted, MST may collect and disburse funds

  • If it’s independent, you handle all payments and refunds directly

You Agree To:
✅ Be punctual and professional
✅ Run high-quality, development-focused sessions
✅ Communicate clearly and consistently
✅ Follow MST’s safety and cancellation policies
✅ Represent the MST brand positively, even as an independent partner

Do Not:
❌ Overbook beyond your ability to manage
❌ Cancel last-minute without valid reason
❌ Accept cash or side bookings outside MST without notice
❌ Use MST branding for unapproved events

Cancellations:

  • Notify clients ASAP

  • Update your calendar to reflect unavailability

  • Repeat no-shows may result in removal from the platform
